Sub systems that are used for manipulating phase and spatial interactions. These units are typically adjacent to an antenna array. Passive variants include beamformers and butler matrix products. Active variants usually use controllable phase shifters or controllable delay lines.

General purpose switching and calibrated signal manipulation. Also includes controllable attenuators, phase shifters and delay lines.

Specialized front end devices that reduce receiver desensitizing without introducing inter-modulation distortion. These products include frequency programmable notch filters and non-reflective limiters.
